Simulation Analysis of Power Quality Characteristics of Wind Farm and Control Measures

  • Based on the project of Hexi large-scale wind power connected to grid, the paper established typical wind turbine simulation model, analyzed power quality characteristics such as voltage deviation, voltage fluctuations, and harmonics caused by wind power connected to grid. It simulated effect of using STATCOM to control power quality of wind farm based on analysis of power quality characteristics of wind farm and consideration of compensation effect. The simulation results showed that the STATCOM has good control effect on a variety of power quality problems of wind farm, which can provide a reference for analysis and control of power quality characteristics of wind farm.
