Design of 3G Industrial Adapter Node

  • In view of wireless requirement of industrial control network and for the scheme of applying 3G network in field of industrial wireless control, the paper mainly introduced hardware and software design of a 3G industrial adapter node. The adapter node uses MU103 to connect traditional network and industrial wireless network to 3G network, MSP430F5438 to do data acquisition, transformation between AT command and independent protocol and execution of AT command, and RS485 interface to complete communication between the adapter node and instruments or industrial wireless gateways. The testing with WIA and Profibus networks in laboratory showed that the adapter node runs stably and reliably with good compatibility.
