Design of FPGA-based Substation of Safety Monitoring and Control System of Coal Mine

  • In view of poor real-time performance of safety monitoring and control system of coal mine because sub stations collect sensors' data by use of single microprocessor, a design scheme of FPGA-based substation was put forward and designs of the substatio's software and hardware were introduced in details. A3PE600 series of FPGA was used in the substation to accomplish acquisition of sensors' data, and ARM was used to accomplish tasks of communication with the FPGA and the host computer, control of power-off and alarming according to configuration information and sensors’data and human-computer interaction. The substation has good real-time performance and can connect various of sensors and be used in different safety monitoring and control systems with different transmission interfaces.
