Design of wireless voice communication and video monitoring system

  • In view of situation that current monitoring system only has video monitoring and is lack of voice communication, design scheme of a wireless voice communication and video monitoring system based on ARM was proposed. The system uses adaptive differential pulse code modulation algorithm for voice coding and compression, uses discrete cosine transform algorithm to compress video data, and uses TCP/IP protocol for data transmission over the wireless LAN. The test results show that the system achieves real-time video monitoring and voice communication, and has reliable performance and low cost.
