  • In order to ensure safety of mine-used LiFePO4 battery, the paper designed a mine-used battery management system with eight single 60 A?h LiFePO4 batteries in series and 24 V rated voltage output combined with actual requirement of coal mine industry. The system combines microprocessor with integrated chip LTC6803 as battery protection module, uses ampere-hour method to estimate batteries capacity and employs equalization technology with shunt resistance to improve performance of the batteries. The field application result shows that the system runs stably and reliably, and ensures safety and high efficiency of the mine-used LiFePO4 battery.
