Research of Key Technologies of Communication for Underground Wireless Sensor Networks

Abstract:
One of applications of wireless sensor networks is environmental monitoring for coal mine-underground. It needs data from sensor in mine to be routed to surface stations through soil or rock of mine tunnels, and represents a new challenge for wireless communication. The paper analyzed the problems which communication of underground wireless sensor networks is facing with, and demonstrated(that characteristic of underground channel depends on the properties of soil or rock, particularly humidity. In order to reducing dissipation of energy and overcoming high loss of underground channel,the paper put forward adaptation advice on the basis of analyzing the existing communication protocols of terrestrial wireless sensor networks. Furthermore,the paper presented a design method of cross-layered management protocol for improving efficiency and reliability of the communication networks.

Abstract:
According to demand of engineering exploration,a high-performance transient electromagnetic receiver was developed which gave consideration to sampling speed and dynamic range on the basis of analysis the fundamental principle of method of transient electromagnetism. The paper introduced hardware design and anti-interference design of the receiver. The simulated experiment showed that the receiver achieved design requirement.

Abstract:
The paper introduced a design of fault data warehouse of mine local ventilation system based on OLAP, expounded architectural structure,establishment of data model and implementation of the data warehouse and its functions. The establishment of data warehouse can prevent ventilation fault effectively and provide effestive decision assistance.

Abstract:
The breaker often took place unselective overstep tripping when short circuit fault occurred in mine high-voltage power network, which is a technical problems and potential safety hazard of underground power supply existed for a long time. The paper used the correspondent relation between modulus maximum of wavelet transform and traveling wave singularity point to measure time of arriving protection installation of traveling wave, then calculated traveling wave speed under particular frequency of the cable in real time for accurate fault location. It made use of action time of protection increasing with fault distance to construct a fast and selective longitudinal protection system by microcomputer’s logic judgment, which is not influenced by protections’ interlock.

Abstract:
The paper introduced the basic principle of two-way automatic communication system and method of modulation and demodulation of inbound signal, described method of using FIR filter and data difference method to demodulate inbound signal, and used Matlab/Simulink to establish a simulation model based on distributed network. The simulation research for modulation and demodulation of inbound signal proved the method is correct.

This paper analyzed defects of network congestion in traditional mine-used monitoring and control system caused by a great of transmitted monitoring data, and proposed a new kind of distributed data communication system based on DCOM combining with experience of pratice, and introdced design of the system structure as well as realized key technologies. The system reduced transmitted data and solved network congestion problem, at the same time, it improved stability and reliability of operation of mine safety monitoring and control system.
