Based upon theoretical analysis to powerwd filters, the paper discussed parameter computation and optimum selection method for AC filtering devices, and gave out computation program flow chart for optimally selecting filter parameters, Through the study on a case, computer simulation is researched, which result shows the designed filter is able to absorb harmonic current and do reactive compensation in a more rational and efficient way.
