Abstract: In view of problems of incomplete kind and low reliability of protection of mine belt conveyor, the paper designed an integrated protection system of belt conveyor, analyzed common faults of belt conveyor, introduced hardware structure and software design of the system, identified measuring methods of belt faults of speed, temperature, fog and disalignment. The protection system used high speed counter of PLC to collect and process frequency parameter output by system’s sensor, which realized real-time speed detection and comprehensive judge of belt conveyor fault, reduced malfunction rate.
